Queen Anne's County Historical Society Announces Crab Feast & Pig Roast Fundraiser at Historic Cloverfields
CENTREVILLE, Md. — The Queen Anne's County Historical Society invites the community to an unforgettable Eastern Shore tradition at its Crab Feast & Pig Roast Fundraiser on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the historic Cloverfields, a beautifully restored circa-1705 estate in Queenstown, Maryland.
Hosted on the grounds of one of Maryland's finest surviving colonial estates, the evening will feature an authentic Maryland crab feast, pit-roasted pork, guided tours of Cloverfields, and a special presentation by renowned architectural historian Willie Graham. Guests will experience the rich history and architectural significance of this remarkable property while enjoying one of the Eastern Shore's favorite traditions.
More than just a fundraiser, the event celebrates the history, architecture, and heritage of Queen Anne's County while supporting the Society's mission to preserve and share its stories for future generations.
Proceeds from the event will directly benefit the Queen Anne's County Historical Society's preservation efforts, educational programming, collections care, research, exhibits, and community outreach. Funds raised help preserve historic resources, protect irreplaceable collections, and expand educational opportunities that connect residents and visitors with the county's unique past.
The Society also invites local businesses, organizations, and individuals to become event sponsors. Sponsorships provide valuable community recognition while helping sustain the Society's important preservation and educational initiatives.
