The First Year Experience (FYE) director designs and implements activities and programs designed to promote the academic success and retention of first-year students as well as support activities and programs designed to improve first-year persistence. Reporting to the Director of Development and the Executive Director of the Chesapeake College Foundation, this position directs efforts in planning, organizing, writing, and assisting with grant management for the College. Duties may include, but are not limited to, identifying funding sources, writing and submitting proposals, and writing post-award narrative reports.
