Full Time Public Service Librarian - Mobile Library, Queen Anne's County Library

  1.  The Queen Anne’s County Library is seeking a full-time Public Services Associate for our Mobile Library. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to connect positively with our community, library staff and community organizations. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to create dynamic programs, provide readers’ advisory and circulation assistance, and provide library services outside of our branches to our community.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Drives the Mobile Library to locations within Queen Anne’s County including assigned stops, travel for maintenance, repairs and fuel. 
  • Assists in the implementation of quality programming for designated populations in the community. 
  • Informs customers of library services. 
  • Provides basic reference and readers’ advisory assistance to customers. 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years’ relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Ability to obtain Library Associate certification within 2 years of hire. 
  • Ability to work as part of a customer-focused team. 
  • Bilingual Spanish/English preferred 
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required 

 

Starting Salary: $44,690 - $50,278.
