Second Annual Family Over Everything Run

This event will feature a scenic 7K run on the Cross Island Trail. Participants can run or walk. Race participants will begin at the Kent Narrows Center, turning around at the Shore United Bank, and returning to the finish line at the Kent Narrows Center. Following the race, attendees will enjoy an awards ceremony, refreshments, music and other family friendly activities. People of all ages and agility are welcome. The Randy D. Thrower Scholarship Foundation, Inc. was set up to honor the late Randy Drake Thrower of Queenstown, MD. Randy was killed on April 2, 2016, due to an automobile accident on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. He was 21. Through the Foundation, his family would like to carry on his passions by giving back to the community. Randy's passions in life were his family, friends, sports, and health and fitness. He is remembered by most for his infectious smile and for the encouragement he showed to others. Randy's motto was "family over everything", and his family extended well beyond his own.
