The United Way of Queen Anne's County was established in 1990 in response to public requests for an agency to coordinate community service organizations.
Annual fund-raising campaigns have previously raised and distributed more than $2 M over the years. All costs are kept at a minimum as all members are volunteers, with the exception of the administrator. United Way of Queen Anne's County is governed by an 8 member Board of Directors.
Presently, the United Way of Queen Anne's County has partnered with 18 local non-profit agencies. Persons interested in volunteering with the agencies should visit the United Way of Queen Anne's County's website to check out the agencies and contact them directly. For more information on this year's goals, last year's report, an application to serve on the board, and other good information, please check out the United Way website at www.unitedwayqac.org
