The United Way of Queen Anne's County was established in 1990 in response to public requests for an agency to coordinate community service organizations.
Annual fund-raising campaigns have previously raised and distributed more than $2 M over the years. All costs are kept at a minimum as all members are volunteers, with the exception of the administrator. United Way of Queen Anne's County is governed by an 8 member Board of Directors.
Presently, the United Way of Queen Anne's County has partnered with 18 local non-profit agencies. Persons interested in volunteering with the agencies should visit the United Way of Queen Anne's County's website to check out the agencies and contact them directly.
